Game starts with Fair Play

Code of conduct and safety policy

1. Purpose & Scope

GoalsBC is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants, match officials, staff, and spectators. This policy outlines the behavioral standards, safety protocols, and accountability measures expected within all GoalsBC leagues and events.

2. Code of Conduct

All participants and personnel associated with GoalsBC are expected to uphold the following principles:

  • Respect & Sportsmanship: Treat fellow players, referees, staff, and opponents with dignity and respect at all times. Abusive language, harassment, discrimination, or unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Safety First: Prioritize the physical and emotional safety of all participants. Reckless play, intentional physical harm, or aggressive altercations on or off the pitch are grounds for immediate disciplinary action and potential league expulsion.

  • Fair Play: Abide by GoalsBC game rules, accept referee decisions with professional decorum, and promote a welcoming atmosphere for all adult recreational divisions.

3. Safety & Emergency Protocols

  • First Aid & Emergency Action Plans: Emergency action plans are maintained for all active match venues, and first aid kits are readily accessible via match officials and on-site staff.

  • Injury Reporting & Concussion Awareness: Any head injury, serious collision, or on-field medical incident must be reported immediately to match officials and documented by league administration.

4. Dispute Resolution & Disciplinary Process

  • Reporting: Any participant, official, or spectator may submit a grievance or report a violation of this Code of Conduct directly to GoalsBC administration via email.

  • Review: GoalsBC management will review submitted incidents, gather statements from involved parties and officials, and determine appropriate disciplinary outcomes (ranging from formal warnings to multi-game or permanent bans).
